Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans, could be a real option for Man United on a free transfer.

Manchester United Football Club have lost Christian Eriksen for multiple months and Donny van de Beek for the season. It’s why a loan move for Marcel Sabitzer was pushed through at the final moment.

However, that midfield is still in need of some long-term overhaul. Scott McTominay has been deemed a player who could be sold this summer, with Erik ten Hag still continuing to change this squad.

United have made some astute signings this time around, with the aforementioned Eriksen an excellent example of bringing in players on free transfers. The club could look to play that trick again this coming summer, with Youri Tielemans.

It’s Give Me Sport with the latest information on the Belgian’s future, who would be available on a free transfer this summer. While speaking to Ben Jacobs, a journalist close to the situation, says that the 25-year-old midfielder could be a ‘real option’ for United this summer.

That’s different to twelve months ago, when the player himself wasn’t completely sold on United due to their lack of Champions League football.

United now look like a side on the rise again, as do Arsenal, who are also credited with an interest in the Leicester City man.

Tielemans is a superb midfielder who’d chip in with some goals and assists, as well as bringing some added quality to United’s central area. If we’re talking a like-for-like replacement for McTominay, that’d be an awesome upgrade – particularly if the club can get a decent transfer fee for the Scotland international.

Hopefully, United can beat out their competitors and get it done.
