Wout Weghorst has been spotted in Man United training for the first time.

Manchester United are a club who are going through change. Under Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils feel relatable again, though we’re still so early on in the process.

It takes time to fully get to where you want to be. Heck, this is just Ten Hag’s second transfer window in charge – while there’s very little money available to spend on transfers.

Either way, the gaffer has managed to get two loan signings through the door. First, Jack Butland. He’s been brought in to deputies David de Gea.

Next, Wout Weghorst. The Dutchman, who scored twice against Argentina at the World Cup, was confirmed as another loan addition over the weekend.

Now, the first photos of Weghorst in United training for the first time have emerged – and it’s good to see him out there!

Although the derby came a little too soon for United’s new man, Weghorst was in the stadium watching on. No doubt he was delighted with the final result, just like the rest of us were!

With games coming thick and fast, Weghorst will get plenty of minutes. You look at the form of Anthony Martial right now and you think there’s a genuine chance he could be our first-choice forward before too long…

More than anything, this is about squad depth. There’s still so many minutes to play in this season. I have a feeling Weghorst will provide at least a couple of big moments for this United side before the season is done…

Welcome, Wout! It’s good to see you out there.
