Wout Weghorst has been pictured in his new Man United jersey for the first time.

Manchester United Football Club aren’t planning on resting on their laurels this month. Instead, the Red Devils continue to press on under Erik ten Hag.

A couple of loan signings have been made. First Jack Butland, then Wout Weghorst.

The latter has been brought in to replace Cristiano Ronaldo on a deal until the end of the season. Weghorst clearly wanted the move to happen. The experienced striker was eventually granted his wish.

Now the hard work really starts for the Burnley forward. With Anthony Martial looking out of sorts right now, there’s a genuine chance that United’s new number 27 could push for regular minutes this term.

Before that, the media duties continue. Today, Weghorst was pictured wearing his United jersey for the first time, inside his new home, the Theatre of Dreams. Man, he looks good in Red!

I genuinely do believe this could be an astute piece of business. Weghorst is someone who’ll offer something completely different to the aforementioned Martial, while I actually think he’ll score more goals than the Frenchman from here on out.

Weghorst is someone who’ll also lead the press and work hard for 90 minutes. Factor in his physical presence and United have now added another dimension to their game.

Again, this is just another example of Ten Hag working his magic and slowly but surely transforming this squad.

With a quick turnaround time in between games, I give Weghorst a 50/50 shot at featuring in the Crystal Palace away game tomorrow. Failing that, he’s looking good for a place in the squad at Arsenal this coming weekend.

Do you think Wout Weghorst will be a good loan signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
