Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Alexis Mac Allister prefers a move to Juventus

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur transfer target and Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister prefers a move to Serie A side Juventus.

Mac Allister enjoyed a sensational World Cup in Qatar earlier this month, having played a crucial role in helping his country win the prestigious tournament. The 24-year-old featured in six games for his country and even got an assist in the final.

Such a performance unsurprisingly made teams take notice of him with the likes of Spurs, the Old Lady, Arsenal and Inter Milan showing interest in the former Boca Juniors midfielder.

However, it is now being claimed that the Seagulls midfielder prefers a move to Turin with the 24-year-old considering the Serie A giants ‘an extraordinary’ club where he can become a top player.

Mac Allister is expected to cost around €35- €40 million and Juventus could bring him in by selling Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie next month. The north London side are also interested in the latter.

It is clear that Antonio Conte wants to add a new face to his midfield. Mac Allister showed his ball-carrying ability and attacking nature during the World Cup and Conte could do with someone like that.

Currently, only Rodrigo Bentancur has shown his ability to go forward with the rest of the midfielders being more defensive-minded. Having a midfielder like the 24-year-old could help the club bag in more goals and he could also help in reducing the burden on the forwards.

However, with the midfielder setting his mind on joining the Italian side, it could be difficult for Conte and co to convince him. Nevertheless, the north London side should do everything they can to bring him to Tottenham.
