West Ham United allegedly now want to sign 24-year-old Strasbourg midfielder Ibrahima Sissoko this summer.

That’s according to a report from French journalist Ignazio Genuardi who claims that Hammers boss David Moyes are particularly keen to sign the French midfielder.

West Ham missed out to Everton on the signing of Amadou Onana earlier this week and it seems as though Moyes is already looking elsewhere.

Signing a top-class, powerful central midfielder should be one of Moyes’s main priorities between now and the end of the transfer window.

The Scot has already brought Flynn Downes to the London Stadium but he clearly needs further reinforcements…

West Ham eyeing move for Ibrahima Sissoko

Ignazio Genuardi reckons that the Hammers are now lining up a move to sign the 24-year-old Strasbourg ace after missing out on Onana to Everton.

Standing at 6ft 4in tall, Sissoko possesses a really imposing physical frame.

The Frenchman has energy, stamina and power in abundance and seems to be perfectly suited to the ferocious nature of the Premier League football.

In 35 Ligue 1 games for Strasbourg last season, Sissoko bagged two goals and five assists (Who Scored).

During those outings, the 24-year-old averaged 1.3 tackles and one interception per game. He made an average of 28.9 passes per match and recorded a completion rate of 80.9% (Who Scored).

We believe that he’d be perfectly suited to the Hammers setup.

The Frenchman could be available for around £13 million this summer (The Daily Mail).

We think that for that money, Ibrahima Sissoko would be a fine addition for West Ham United.
