West Ham have reportedly made first official contract with the agent of Paulo Fonseca.

According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, the West Ham owners are very interested in appointing Paulo Fonseca as the new manager at the London Stadium this summer, in place of David Moyes.

And now it seems as though West Ham are upping the ante in pursuit of the Portuguese.

The East London outfit have apparently been holding discussions with the 50-year-old’s agent…

West Ham contract agent of Paulo Fonseca

Despite Moyes recently turning things round at the London Stadium, it seems as though the Hammers owners are keen for a change in the managerial department.

The West Ham board have made contact with the agent of Lille manager Paulo Fonseca, according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna:

I think that Fonseca would be a stunning addition for West Ham.

Fonseca deploys a system whereby ball retention is a key component. It’s a possession based system.

During his time in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk in 2017, The Sun described him as a ‘sensational’ manager.

The 50-year-old deploys a 4-2-3-1 formation with the emphasis on attacking, creative and free-flowing play from his team.

Paulo Fonseca replacing David Moyes at West Ham would be like chalk and cheese. PortuGOAL describe the Lille boss as a ‘tactical mastermind’.

It would be such a hugely refreshing change for the Hammers fans, after some of the dire football that we’ve been served up over the past 12-18 months.

I think that Fonseca would take West Ham to another level, I really do.
