West Ham United left-back Arthur Masuaku is allegedly a transfer target for newly-promoted Fulham this summer.

That’s according to club insiders Claret and Hugh who claim that Fulham boss Marco Silva is keen to sign his former player this summer.

Silva managed Masuaku during his stint in charge of Olympiacos.

Masuaku joined West Ham from Olympiacos in the summer of 2016 for around £6 million (The Times).

He has really impressed at times for the Hammers but he has disappointed in equal measure and if we’re being honest, there has been far more of the latter than the former.

David Moyes clearly doesn’t trust the 28-year-old in the left-back role and it seems as though he could now be set for a summer transfer away from the London Stadium…

West Ham left-back wanted by Fulham

Claret and Hugh reckon that Masuaku is a transfer target for Fulham boss Marco Silva this summer.

Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson are both well ahead of the 28-year-old in the left-back pecking order at the London Stadium.

It could even be argued that youngster Emmanuel Longelo is a better option than the former Olympiacos man.

Claret and Hugh claim that West Ham boss David Moyes is willing to sell Arthur for around £5 million.

David Moyes absolutely should sell Masuaku if he can this summer.

Whilst West Ham will probably be lucky to get £5 million for the 11-capped Democratic Republic of Congo international, moving him on for a small fee would be a very sensible move this summer.

And if Fulham really do want to sign the West Ham left-back this summer, then we should just let them have him.

Masuaku clearly isn’t good enough to be playing Premier League football on a consistent basis. And the sooner Moyes gets rid of players like the 28-year-old, the better as far as we’re concerned.
