West Ham United have reportedly just made a fresh bid for talented Lorient striker Terem Moffi.

That’s according to a report from Sky Sports who claim that the Hammers have offered £20 million up front plus £5 million in instalments.

David Moyes is under intense pressure at the London Stadium with West Ham having taken just 33 points from our last 36 Premier League games.

We have been absolutely awful this season, and it’s surely only a matter of time before he’s sacked. He is absolutely clueless and has no idea how to excavate us from the mess that he got us in.

It was recently claimed that, in order to help his side move away from the bottom three, Moyes wanted to bring Lorient striker Terem Moffi to the London Stadium (The Sun).

Numerous reports have since followed up suggesting that West Ham could miss out on the forward because of his £25 million price-tag. It appears as though that won’t be the case though…

West Ham make fresh striker bid

According to a report from Sky Sports, the Hammers have lodged a new bid for Terem Moffi.

The bid comprises of £20 million up front and £5 million in potential add-ons.

Whether Lorient will accept that bid remains to be seen, but if they do, we will have a serious player on our hands.

Described by Total Football Analysis as a ‘nuisance’ Moffi is exactly what we need at the London Stadium, and he would be the perfect foil for Gianluca Scamacca.

Moffi would take West Ham’s attacking play to a whole new level entirely.

He is absolutely rapid and is strong as an ox. He is generally a nuisance for opposing defenders and would offer a completely different option to Gianluca Scamacca through the middle, what with his power and pace.

He’s been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, with 12 goals in 18 games for Lorient to his name (Transfermarkt).

If we manage to sign Moffi for an initial £20 million, it will be great business from the Hammers.

Whether the new West Ham striker bid is accepted or not has still not been reported, but one would imagine that we are closing in on the Nigerian.
