He made a 20 minute cameo appearance for West Ham on Saturday afternoon during our 2-0 win over Everton. Unfortunately for Ings though, he will have to wait a couple of weeks before he plays for the Hammers again…
Danny Ings suffers injury blow
According to the Guardian, the former Aston Villa man picked up a knee injury against Everton on Saturday.
And as a result, he will now miss ‘several weeks of action’, when we really need him.
How typical of West Ham is that. I mean, Ings has been injury prone throughout his entire career, so it’s no surprise really is it?
A panic buy made by David Moyes that has already turned ugly.
With Gianluca Scamacca currently out injured, and Michail Antonios struggling for form, West Ham really are in dire straits. The addition of another centre-forward is now an absolute necessity.
The Danny Ings injury blow has come at the worst possible time for the Hammers. The only saving grace is that we don’t have a Premier League game for another 12 days.
So fingers crossed that he makes a quick recovery and returns to action as soon as possible.
