West Ham United allegedly could try to sign Atalanta star Ruslan Malinovskyi again in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Calcio Mercato who claim that the Hammers wanted to sign the 29-year-old in January, with Atalanta demanding around €50 million (£43 million).
The Serie A side were desperate to keep hold of the 49-capped Ukraine international but since then, there has been tension between Malinovskyi and his manager Gian Piero Gasperini (Calcio Mercato).
The Ukrainian ace is a top-class talent. So it’s no surprise that Moyes wanted to bring him to West Ham.
And it seems as though the Scot hasn’t yet given up on the idea of signing the Atalanta star…
West Ham could make January transfer window move for Ruslan Malinovskyi
Calcio Mercato reckon that the 29-year-old is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the January transfer window.
The problem is that the Serie A side value the Ukrainian ace at around £43 million according to CM. That is just far too much money to be paying for Malinovskyi, in spite of his obvious talent.
The Atalanta star possesses real class and would undoubtedly take us to another level.
The 29-year-old would be a very good addition for West Ham.
We have to say though, we shouldn’t be paying anywhere near £43 million for him considering the fact that he’s 29 and has never experienced Premier League football before.
Perhaps if we could pick him up for closer to £15-20 million it would be a good deal for West Ham.
Malinovskyi has bagged 30 goals and 27 assists in 134 games for Atalanta (Transfermarkt). A goal involvement every 2.3 games isn’t bad at all.
The 29-year-old possesses outstanding technical ability and is really good when in possession of the football.
He has plenty of energy and possesses the ability to beat a man. He has an absolute rocket of a shot in his arsenal as well.
A couple of years ago, Chelsea legend Claude Makelele was trying to push the Ukrainian ace towards a move to Stamford Bridge, according to The Daily Mail.
So he clearly has something special about him.
Breaking The Lines describe the left-footed Ukraine international as an ‘incredible’ player.
We must say though, now we have Paqueta, there is little need for Malinovskyi as well.
We’d be very surprised if West Ham end up signing him in the January transfer window.
