Hopefully the Brazilian will end up being the man who takes us to the next level.

Paqueta comes from humble beginnings and started out his career with Brazilian giants Flamengo, before moving to AC Milan in 2019.

And the Mengão clearly still follow the 25-year-old’s career closely…

Paqueta is a hugely exciting talent and it feels kind of surreal that the 25-year-old is now a West Ham player.

The Brazilian will undoubtedly go on to achieve great things at the London Stadium.

This one is a transfer that seems to have really set the cat amongst the pigeons in the Premier League. There are certainly fans of some clubs inside the top six at the moment wondering why they didn’t sign the South American star.

His former club Flamengo took to Twitter last night after Paqueta made his move to West Ham:

That’s a quality touch from Flamengo.

We’re convinced that Lucas Paqueta will go on to be our most exciting signing since Dimitri Payet joined West Ham seven years ago.

Hopefully the fans are patient with the 25-year-old though. Let’s give him time to acclimatise to life in England and Premier League football first before judging him.
