Tottenham are listening to offers on a number of players who could leave Hotspur Way in the coming days, though only Jack Clarke’s immediate future is known.

Jack Clarke to Sunderland

The young Englishman is off to Sunderland on loan. Clarke has been loaned out more than a Blockbuster DVD copy of Fight Club in the 90s. To no fault of his own, he was one of Mauricio Pochettino’s worst signings at Spurs.

Since joining Spurs in 2019, he has been tossed around like a boomerang. Tottenham sent him back to Leeds after buying him from the Yorkshire club before passing him on to Queens Park Rangers for a fleeting stint. He was then express packaged to Stoke before he returned to sender.

Now the boomerang has once again been sent on his way, this time to Sunderland. It’s only a matter of time before he arrives back on the Hotspur Way doorstep. Maybe next time he comes knocking, he’ll actually obtain a Premier League start with the Lilywhites.

Tanguy Ndombele loan — still waiting

Confirmed, confirmed, confirmed, yet still not confirmed. Numerous journalists have “confirmed’ Tanguy’s loan deal to Valencia. But until we here official confirmation from the club or Mr. Fabrizio Romano, all bets are off.

His imminent arrival in Valencia is looking more likely with each passing hour, but nothing official has yet filtered through. The good news, if the deal is eventually confirmed. is plentiful.

First, Tanguy will no longer dampen spirits in the locker room. Second, he’ll be completely off Tottenham’s books, as each team in the hunt for Tanguy — Valencia, PSG, Everton — are all willing to pay all of his weekly wages. Result! Knowing Spurs luck, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the capricious Frenchman thrive at his new club, regardless of who it is.

Bryan Gil farce

The best retort of the day goes to Tottenham’s Bryan Gil, who brilliantly shutdown reports of his Tottenham unrest.

While he might not want out of Tottenham, numerous clubs are desirous of his services, including Valencia and Nice. Both clubs want the youngster on loan, while Tottenham are yet to confirm their intentions.

It would be a shame to see him leave so soon after arriving at Hotspur Way. He has disappointed since arriving, but hasn’t seen nearly enough first-team action to properly adapt to the rigours and demands of elite football in England.

Dele Alli sweepstakes

Dele Alli is wanted by a bevy of Premier League teams, the forerunner of which being Newcastle United. As of yesterday, the Magpies were solid favourites to secure the out-of-favour midfielder’s signature.

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge seems to think there’s “no concrete interest’ in the former superstar, while numerous other publications believe something entirely different, saying Brighton, Everton, Southampton, along with favourites Newcastle, are all interested.

Likelihood is Dele will be gone in the coming days, putting the final stamp on his saddening and inexplicable Tottenham fall from grace.
