Spurs Transfer News: Tottenham schedule fresh talks for Chelsea target Pedro Porro
Tottenham Hotspur have scheduled a new round of talks with Sporting CP over the potential transfer of Chelsea target Pedro Porro.
This is according to Evening Standard, who claim that Spurs recently had a £32million bid rejected for the 23-year-old Spain international. Chelsea are also tracking his progress at Sporting.
Porro only moved to the Primeira Liga club from Manchester City last summer but has left a big impression with his performances in Portugal. He currently has 11 assists and three goals in 24 appearances across competitions this campaign under manager Ruben Amorim.

Sporting are adamant that they want his £40million release clause to be met. Spurs have now scheduled a fresh round of talks with the club on Wednesday.
Spurs must be wary of Chelsea
Tottenham also failed with an offer that included Davinson Sanchez along with deferred payments. We really need to up the ante and make sure this deal gets over the line before February.
If it comes down to a handful of millions, then fans will understandably want Daniel Levy not to be stingy here. With Chelsea lurking, we have to be quick.

Leandro Trossard’s agent explained that Spurs were too demanding and took a lot of time to negotiate a deal for the Belgium international, which is why he ended up moving to Arsenal. We can’t make that mistake again.
Chelsea are in need of a right-back to compete with Reece James down the right-hand side in the long term the same way they have Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell as their options on the opposite flank.

They are, however, also pursuing Malo Gusto of Olympique Lyonnais, which hopefully puts them off Porro’s scent.
