Tottenham have made their first big-money transfer of the summer window, with Richarlison set to join the club for a reported £60 million.

It’s another milestone moment for the club making massive waves in the transfer window. While the initial fee is said to be worth £50 million, there is £10 million worth of add ons connected to the transfer.

Whether you think £60 million is the right price or not, the talented Brazilian is on his way to Tottenham.

Fabio Paratici is a huge proponent of what Richarlison brings and so too is Antonio Conte. Both Italians know how crucial it is to have more offensive weapons. Now Spurs can spread out their scoring and aren’t so reliant on the productivity of their triumvirate Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski.

Richarlison scored 10 goals and added five helpers in 30 Premier League appearances with Everton last season. He scored 53 goals in 152 matches as a Toffee and was steadfast on a move to a Champions League team.

He got his wish and so did Spurs, who can utilize the skillful 25-year-old anywhere in the attacking third. He can replace Kane as the solo striker up front when the England striker needs a break, or can play in his preferred position, on either side of Spurs’ talisman.

Spurs have signed four vital elements — Ivan Perisic, Fraser Foster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison — prior to their pre-season tour kicks off, exactly what Conte had dreamed off before the summer transfer window commenced.

The Italian maestro now has ample time, pending a successful medical where Richarlison is concerned, to work with the newcomers, ensuring chemistry and his starting 11 are cemented prior to the start of the Premier League campaign in early August.

Conte has now signed a player in each section of the pitch, including a goalkeeper, left wingback, defensive central midfielder and attacker.

Only time will tell if Richarlison, who has been Everton’s most dynamic attacking threat aside from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, is worth the £60 million it will end up costing Spurs.

Either way, Spurs land can rejoice knowing are doing everything in their power to bring the first piece of silverware to the good side of north London since 2008.
