According to Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano, negotiations to make Dejan Kulusevski’s loan spell permanent are “advancing very well” between Tottenham and Juventus, with a deal expected imminently.
Despite some speculation to the contrary, Tottenham, even before Ange Postecoglou took the helm, was gung-ho and steadfast in triggering the buy-out option on Kulusevski’s loan deal.
It initially appeared that it would cost Tottenham about £31 million to permanently secure the Swede’s services, but final amount could be about £26 million as the two clubs hash out the figure.

Kulusevski endured a difficult spell in his first full season in north London, joining the overwhelming majority of Tottenham players who struggled.
Everyone must remember, though, that Kulusevski is still only 23 years old and should benefit from the style Postecoglou is hellbent, thankfully so, on playing.
The Swede will most likely join Son Heung-min and Harry Kane up front, as he has since joining the club in January 2022.
While Postecoglou might be tempted to see how Kulusevski adapts to the No. 8 role, a position alongside Kane and Sonny invariably fits best.
Kulu adapted to the pace and physical rigour of the Premier League faster than most new arrivals, scoring five goals and adding eight assists in his first 18 appearances, including a span of six assists in a nine-match stretch.
Now we’ll wait anxiously for the details about the impending deal. In the meantime, we’ll wait for confirmation of the spectacular news. Here we go!
