Thilo Kehrer has regressed badly, after initially impressing for West Ham following his summer move from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old seemed to be one of the signings of the summer after his early season appearances for the Hammers.
We’re starting to see why the French giants were so keen to get rid of the 22-capped Germany international though.
He is clearly very prone to a mistake and often dives in completely unnecessarily.
It’s clear to see that Kehrer is nowhere near the elite player that we thought he might be…
Thilo Kehrer has regressed badly, it’s a huge worry for West Ham fans
The German has shown signs of real decline over the past few games.
He made a glaring error by not even jumping for the ball and getting beaten in the air by Marcus Rashford, during our defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
And today he made another rickett.
Kehrer badly miscontrolled the ball and allowed Michael Olise to bear down on our goal. The Palace man slipped it to Wilfried Zaha who smashed home to equalise.
Sure, it was a poor ball from Craig Dawson in the first place, but Kehrer really should have done so much better.
David Moyes really needs to address Kehrer’s current issue of poor decision making and complete lapses in concentration.
I’m not saying the 26-year-old is a bad player, he quite obviously isn’t. But he has to work on the defensive side of his game, if he is to be a success at the London Stadium.
Hopefully Thilo Kehrer is shown clips back of his poor recent performances for West Ham. He needs to learn, and fast. The Premier League is incredibly unforgiving, and the German keeps getting found out, time and time again.
