There’s sensational breaking news from Italy this evening about West Ham United’s move for a Lucas Paqueta replacement.
That would leave the Hammers with a gaping hole in guile and vision in the side.
Yesterday it was reported that West Ham were trying to hijack Inter Milan’s move for Serbian sensation Lazar Samardzic.
The Daily Mail claimed David Moyes and Tim Steidten see the 21-year-old Udinese ace, who is viewed as one of the hottest prospects in European football, as the ideal young replacement for Paqueta should he join Man City.

But it looked to be wishful thinking as Samardzic was reported to be in Milan yesterday to complete a move to Inter.
Things just got interesting for Hammers fans, though.
There’s sensational breaking news from Italy about the West Ham move for a Paqueta replacement after a major Samardzic twist.
Because according to Football Italia, Samardzic’s move to Inter has collapsed after the 11th hijack from West Ham.
And now the Hammers look favourites to bring the attacking midfield dynamo to east London.
It is being reported this evening that Samardzic’s move has been thrown up in the air by West Ham’s last ditch intervention.
“BOOM – Samardzic done deal suddenly undone!” Football Italia reported just before 5pm.
“Meeting with Samardzic agents (and Inter) did NOT go well, they claim he changed his demands and the whole thing is now up in the air!
“Today Samardzic’s father and entourage visited the Inter headquarters for talks and FCInter1908.it claim the meeting went very badly.
“Rather than clarify the final details, Inter were angry that Samardzic’s representatives had suddenly changed their demands and warned they were ready to scrap the whole move.
“It comes just hours after reports in the Daily Mail that West Ham United are looking towards Samardzic as the heir to Lucas Paqueta, if he is sold to Manchester City.”
If West Ham are now frontrunners that would be good news for Man City boss Pep Guardiola. Because it would indicate West Ham would be willing to let Paqueta leave should Man City meet their valuation.
