Richard Keys and Rio Ferdinand have reacted to West Ham making a European final after a night to remember in Holland.

West Ham will play Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Prague on June 7th.

Should the Hammers win, it will end a 43-year major trophy drought and deliver a first European trophy since 1965.

Leading 2-1 from the first leg, West Ham stood firm against AZ Alkmaar in Holland and scored a brilliant late goal through Pablo Fornals to seal another memorable night in the club’s history.

The Spaniard’s run, nutmeg and finish sparked wild celebrations among everyone connected with West Ham.

Hammers and Moyes lauded

And David Moyes soaked up the atmosphere as he ran on the pitch to rejoice with the travelling support.

There has – and continues to be – intense speculation over the Scot’s future at West Ham.

But he was serenaded by Hammers fans once more during the jubilant scenes.

Jamie Carragher sent a message to West Ham and Moyes after the Hammers made their first European final in 47 years.

And other high-profile pundits have been having their say too.

‘Final bound!’

Ferdinand was once idolised by West Ham fans who watched him rise through the club’s academy ranks to become a world star.

But Rio has upset many West Ham supporters in recent seasons with some of his actions.

The former defender did move to explain himself last season over where his loyalties lie – insisting West Ham alongside Man United will always be a club in his heart.

Rio also took to Twitter after Fornals scored to seal the tie.

“Fornals,” Rio posted alongside a tick and applause emojis.

“West Ham, Final Bound!!!!!!!!”
