Sean Whetstone has responded to a claim suggesting that David Moyes is under serious threat of losing his job as West Ham United manager.

The Daily Mail claimed this afternoon that David Moyes could be moved on from West Ham, with tensions rising over differing summer transfer window recruitment strategies at the London Stadium.

There is definitely something going on at the Hammers right now. Moyes is targeting experienced Premier League players whilst new director of football Tim Steidten would prefer the club to sign young players with huge potential from the continent.

Sean Whetstone took to Twitter this afternoon in response to the Mail’s claim about Moyes and rising tensions at the London Stadium.

And the Hammers ITK said sources inside the club have ‘completely denied’ the story, highlighting how Moyes and Steidten were getting on really well at the awards dinner last night.

That’s all well and good but the proof will be in the pudding as far as I’m concerned.

West Ham need to make at least three or four top-class signings, and probably more, before the summer transfer window closes.

Moyes needs to bring in at least two before the new Premier League season kicks off in just eight day’s time!

From the outside looking in, the Hammers seem to be in total disarray at the moment. And despite the fact that Sean Whetstone has denied that David Moyes could lose his job as West Ham manager, something is clearly not right.

I suspect that we’ll know more about the situation in a month’s time.
