West Ham United are allegedly ‘seriously interested’ in signing talented Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer.
That’s according to a report from The Express who claim that the Hammers could be set to battle it out with the likes of Newcastle and Manchester United for the 26-year-old’s signature this summer.

West Ham want Ivan Toney
The 26-year-old Brentford forward is firmly on the radar of the Hammers in the summer transfer window according to a report from The Express.
In fact it is suggested that West Ham are ‘seriously interested’ in signing Ivan Toney.
Our preference would be for Moyes to sign either Broja or Scamacca. If he is unable to get either of those deals over the line though, we would be more than happy with the signing of Toney.
We believe that the 26-year-old would be a very good summer addition for West Ham.
Toney bagged 14 goals and six assists in 37 games for Brentford last season (Transfermarkt).
He seemed to find a whole new level entirely over the past two months of the season, however, bagging nine goals in his last 15 games for Brentford (Soccerbase).
Ivan Toney has everything that West Ham need. He has pace in abundance, possesses great movement and is obviously a great finisher.
Standing at 6ft 2in, the striker offers his team a real focal point to their attacking play.
Toney bagged 31 goals in 45 games for Brentford in the Championship in the 2020/21 season (Transfermarkt). He’s now proven that he can do it in the Premier League as well.
There is one huge problem that West Ham face, however. The 26-year-old is valued at around £50 million by Brentford according to 90Min.
And whether the Hammers owners will be prepared to pay anything like that for the striker is highly doubtful.
We still believe that Moyes’s main options are Broja and Scamacca. Should the West Ham manager move in for Ivan Toney though, the Bees forward wouldn’t be a bad alternative at all.
