Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board may have to put together revised transfer plans ahead of the summer, with a report in the Mail claiming that their top midfield target is ‘not for sale’.
RB Leipzig have insisted that French star Christopher Nkunku won’t be going anywhere in the summer and will stay at least for another season in the Bundesliga.
Th 24-year-old midfielder has been a long-term target for Arteta’s Arsenal and it’s not hard to see why – Nkunku has scored 18 goals and assisted 13 for RB Leipzig this season.
Plans can change of course and that was said as much by Leipzig’s chief Oliver Mintzlaff;
“He [Nkunku] will play with us next season. In football nothing is ever certain, but that’s our plan.”
Other clubs have also been monitoring the former PSG star, with Manchester City, Real Madrid and even Paris keeping tabs to bring him back to the Parc des Princes.
