Man United play their third pre-season tour game under Erik ten Hag tomorrow. Ahead of that match, we’ve provided our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Crystal Palace.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have actually looked surprisingly effective over the last couple of games. Pressing high, playing with intensity and looking hungry to win.

The results aren’t as important as building up the fitness levels, but it has certainly been a strong start from the boys in red.

With matches now coming thick and fast, I’m expecting Ten Hag to change up the starting line-up a little bit for this one, as he starts to cast a glance at the fringe players who are all desperate for their big opportunity.

Make no mistake about it, Crystal Palace represents another big test for United, so our lads will have to be just as up for this one to come away with a positive result.

Anyway, let’s get right into the team news…

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Crystal Palace in full here:

lineup 1 1

David de Gea should overcome injury to take his place in the XI, with the Spaniard looking to prove that he can do a job in a possession-based system.

The back four is starting to take shape. Diogo Dalot seems to be the number one choice at right-back, while Luke Shaw will get the nod on the left-hand side of defence. Harry Maguire will play and captain this United team, partnering Victor Lindelof.

James Garner is a player who is patiently waiting for that opportunity. Now absolutely feels like a good time to give him that chance. Why not put him alongside Zidane Iqbal? Both of them have bright futures in the game.

Going into the tour, Alejandro Garnacho was absolutely the man we all wanted a closer look at. We haven’t seen him thus far, though this feels like a good opportunity to see what he can do. Bruno Fernandes will play in the #10 role, with on-fire Jadon Sancho continuing. Anthony Martial leads the line again here.
