Our predicted MUFC XI for the away game vs Chelsea is now in.

Football matches are now coming thick and fast for Manchester United. The Red Devils looked absolutely superb against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek. Let’s hope that momentum continues this weekend.

Chelsea is next up. Another tough ask, with the blues looking pretty good under Graham Potter. However, United will be full of confidence heading to Stamford Bridge after putting in their most complete performance of the season on Wednesday.

With just a few days in between the game, there’s little room for overthinking things too much. Instead, it’ll just be up to the lads to go out there and perform at their best.

That said, this feels like a completely different style of game. although United will want to control proceedings, you’d imagine Ten Hag to deploy a more counter-attacking tactic here. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

We briefly talked about it during our player ratings, but the Spurs game was undoubtedly David de Gea’s best of the season so far. He keeps his place in between the sticks here.

The back four has to remain the same. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are forming quite the partnership at the heart of defence. Why disrupt that? Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot looked super on Wednesday. they both absolutely deserve to keep their place in the team.

Casemiro has been a breath of fresh air over the last couple of weeks. He’s not afraid to do the dirty work, allowing the more creative members of the team to thrive further up the field. Fred starts alongside his compatriot, with Bruno Fernandes playing a little further up the pitch.

Marcus Rashford did everything but score against Spurs. Let’s hope he brings his shooting boots here. Once again, he’s flanked by Jadon Sancho and Antony on his right and left respectively. There’s no place for Cristiano Ronaldo, nor should there be after his antics.
