David de Gea – Had a relatively quiet afternoon. Wasn’t really tested by Everton at all. Decent with his feet. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Was solid defensively during Everton’s rare spells of possession. Missed a golden chance early on. 6/10
Harry Maguire – The United captain did his job. Defended well enough and won his aerial battles. 6/10
Lisandro Martinez – Brilliant as per usual. Carried on with his aggressive style of defending and helped preserve the clean sheet. 6/10
Tyrell Malacia – Grew as the game wore on. Was largely a passer by for the opening 45 minutes, though. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Bombed forward on plenty of occasions and made the breakthrough with a powerful finish. Played well. 7/10
Marcel Sabitzer – Looked sharp in that advanced role. Led the press and had a couple of half-chances to score. Good. 7/10
Bruno Fernandes – Played in that deeper role again and thrived. He helped win the midfield battle and pinged some lovely balls forward. 7/10
Antony – United are just better with him in the side. Linked up nicely with his teammates. 6/10
Jadon Sancho – Was solid enough. Showed glimpses of his capabilities. 5/10
Marcus Rashford – Had loads of half-decent opportunities but couldn’t score. Did assist Martial for the second. Came off injured. 7/10
Subs:
Anthony Martial – Scored against Everton yet again. Looked sharp.
Christian Eriksen – Good to see him back out there after injury.
Fred – Brought on late.
Wout Weghorst – Replaced the injured Rashford.
