Nightmare scenario for West Ham as Arsenal reportedly could sign Youssouf Fofana for just £30 million.
According to L’Equipe, Arsenal are lining up a move to sign Youssouf Fofana as an alternative for West Ham star Declan Rice.

Now that really would be a nightmare scenario for the East London club, because the reason the Gunners are apparently switching attention to Fofana is because Manchester City are moving in on signing Rice.

In my opinion, Fofana would be a superb signing for us. However, losing Rice and then failing to sign the Frenchman to replace him really would hurt Hammers boss David Moyes…
Nightmare scenario for West Ham as Arsenal reportedly could sign Youssouf Fofana for just £30 million
The Gunners were thought to be leading the race to sign Declan Rice from West Ham this summer.
However, recent reports have suggested that Manchester City could pip Arsenal to the England international’s signature in the final straight.
And as a result, L’Equipe claim that Mikel Arteta is set to switch his attention from Rice to Hammers target Youssouf Fofana.
Wow, could everything unfold any worse for us?
Losing Dec and then failing to replace him with the Monaco star would be a big blow for West Ham. The France international is literally the perfect replacement for the 24-year-old in my eyes.

The central midfield powerhouse possesses energy, athleticism, dynamism and strength in abundance. He’s built for Premier League football.
The 24-year-old has an incredible physique, but he’s not all about pace and power. The Frenchman is very good with the ball at his feet. He has been described as an ‘unreal’ midfielder by Monaco’s official website.
I would absolutely love to see Moyes bring him to the London Stadium this summer.
However, if Arsenal win the race for Youssouf Fofana, and Manchester City sign Declan Rice, it could signal the beginning of a nightmare summer transfer window for West Ham.
