Manchester United should consider an ambitious move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Daichi Kamada before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils have signed just two players in Jack Butland and Wout Weghorst on loan this month but they could make a last signing before the deadline.

A new forward was highlighted as a priority last week but the focus could change to a midfielder amid the ankle injury sustained by Christian Eriksen.

In that case, United should look at the prospect of landing in-form Bundesliga star Kamada.

The Japanese ace has been a revelation for Frankfurt this campaign. He has registered an impressive tally of 12 goals and five assists from 25 games.

The 26-year-old has primarily played in the number eight role this campaign, but he has also operated from the number 10 and left-wing positions.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, United have the opportunity to prise him away for cheap before the transfer window slams shut.

Kamada is currently valued at £26 million by Transfermarkt, and United could entice Frankfurt into parting ways with him with an offer of around £15m.

The other alternative could be a loan proposal with a mandatory buy option in the summer.

In our opinion, Kamada would be a top-class signing. He has vast top-flight experience and has been chipping in with key goal involvements at his club.

The Japanese would be a quality replacement for Eriksen if he is injured. He would also offer good cover for Bruno Fernandes in the attacking midfield spot.

Whether United can convince Eintracht into a deal is another big question. The Europa League holders are currently just two points behind the Bundesliga top four.

With Champions League qualification being realistic through the league, they may resist the prospect of cashing in on one of their most prized assets this season.
