Man United have their eyes on Napoli centre-back, Kim Min-Jae.

Manchester United Football Club are slowly transforming their whole identity under Erik ten Hag.

It’s going to take time, though the early signs are encouraging. United are a side who have conceded so many goals recently. Improving in that area of the field was identified as the early starting point for the Dutchman.

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have been good, with their partnership flourishing. However, the Red Devils are still looking at bringing in another centre-back; Kim Min-Jae.

It’s CNN Turkey with the claim, as The Sun translated the information. Apparently, United are showing interest in the 25-year-old defender. The Old Trafford outfit will hold talks with Min-Jae’s current side, Napoli, about a possible move.

The Red Devils are considering activating a £44m release clause within Min-Jae’s current deal, though that clause isn’t available to be activated in January. So that may mean directly negotiating with Napoli.

Min-Jae only arrived in Naples over the summer after leaving Fenerbahce. The man from South Korea has started life in Serie A brilliantly, scoring twice as his side lead the league in the early stages.

Ten Hag has always talked about football being a squad game, with United looking to have great squad depth all over the field. It also points towards the Reds boss not fully trusting the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, who have largely remained rooted to the bench.

Min-Jae isn’t someone I’ve watched an awful lot of, though Ten Hag’s work in the transfer market has been ideal so far. It would be silly of us to doubt the gaffer at this stage.

Do you think a Man United move for Kim Min-Jae would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
