Man United are seemingly keen on Tammy Abraham as a potential striker signing.

It’s now pretty common knowledge that some sort of striker has to be signed by Manchester United this coming summer.

The Old Trafford club let Cristiano Ronaldo leave by mutual termination of his contract, though the void left by the Portugal international remains.

Erik ten Hag has a set way of playing. Only certain forwards can fit into this regime, meaning the pool of players the club will look to sign is only very slim.

Names like Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane would obviously fit the bill, though it’d be very difficult to bring those guys in. The club, rightly, are exploring all their options and looking elsewhere; enter, Tammy Abraham.

It’s CaughtOffside with the scoop, who run an exclusive via Ben Jacobs. The journalist describes United’s interest in the 25-year-old ex-Chelsea man as ‘very genuine’.

To add further detail, it’s claimed that Ten Hag ‘likes’ the AS Roma striker, who is having another excellent term over in Italy.

It’s added that names like the aforementioned Osimhen are preferred, though Abraham is still on the list of potential options for the Old Trafford club when the summer rolls around.

The Red Devils may not have it all their own way, with Chelsea also showing an interest in bringing back the Englishman.

Honestly, this feels like an astute move. United just need someone reliable who can start games pretty much very week and do a decent job. In the long run, you’d imagine Abraham is someone who’d be a rotational option, though for the immediate future, he’s someone who would be good enough to lead the line.
