Kurt Zouma will not be selected for the France squad in what is a huge blow for the West Ham ace from a personal perspective.
That’s according to French publication RMC Sport who claim that Didier Deschamps will bring Manchester United ace Raphaël Varane back into the France squad and will ignore Zouma due to the recent controversy surrounding him.

The 27-year-old centre-back joined West Ham from Chelsea back in the summer transfer window for around £29.8 million (BBC).
Zouma made an instant impact at the London Stadium and the transfer fee that the Hammers paid immediately looked like a real bargain.
David Moyes pushed hard for the Zouma signing and his performances since he swapped west London for east London have totally justified the Scot’s decision to sign him.
The Frenchman was embroiled in controversy last month, however, after he was filmed kicking and slapping his pet cat. He has since been fined £250,000 by West Ham, with that money being given to various animal charities.
Zouma made a huge mistake and any sane person can in no way condone what he did. But what’s done is done and what matters now is that he learns from that mistake. The 27-year-old has received ample punishment but it seems as though he will be made to suffer even more now…
Kurt Zouma receives France squad blow
RMC Sport claims that France manager Didier Deschamps will ignore Zouma when naming his France squad for the March internationals.
That is allegedly a direct result of the 27-year-old abusing his pet cat.
Whether the West Ham ace has any kind of future for France with Deschamps at the helm remains to be seen.
It is clear to see that the French national team manager is being ruthless in his handling of the former Chelsea star.
Zouma has been exceptional for West Ham since the video emerged. It seems as though he has well and truly put it behind him now, as has everyone else at the London Stadium.
Deschamps is obviously not quite as forgiving as David Moyes though.
And given Zouma’s recent form for the Hammers, the France boss may well be cutting off his nose to spite his face.
Whether France struggle without the West Ham man though, remains to be seen.
