Jarrod Bowen named as Man United transfer target – Old Trafford Faithful

Jarrod Bowen has been named as a possible Man United transfer target under Erik ten Hag.

There’s no doubt that Erik ten Hag has already given Manchester United a list of suitable transfer targets going into a huge summer window.

The Old Trafford club need fresh faces in pretty much every position, with too much work to undertake in one summer. This time around, it’s purely about clearing out the dead-wood, replacing them with quality and moving a step closer to the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool at the top.

A whole host of names have been linked with a potential switch to the Theatre of Dreams. Though over the last 24 hours, a new name has been mentioned by the press; Jarrod Bowen.

The story comes from Fichajes, with the translation via the MEN live blog. They draw up a list of three ‘lower level’ transfer targets, with the West Ham man one of the names.

Although Bowen is described as not a priority addition, Ten Hag has identified the attacker as someone that ‘can fit perfectly into his system’.

The 16-goal Premier League star has been seriously impressive for David Moyes’ side all year long, scoring goals at crucial moments – and improving week-in-week-out as an all-round player.

It has been West Ham’s Declan Rice constantly linked with a Red Devils switch this summer, though I’d argue a move for Bowen makes even more sense.

The Englishman is versatile, having the ability to play all across the front three, with United being desperate for help in that area. Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard are all leaving. I wouldn’t be surprised if Anthony Martial follows suit, too…

There is no information in regards to a potential transfer fee right now, though you’d imagine Bowen would cost way in excess of £50million. No doubt we’ll learn more as this transfer rumour grows.

Would a Man United move for Jarrod Bowen make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
