Manchester City have reportedly entered the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the summer of 2023.
That’s according to The Mirror (print edition December 2nd, page 56) who claim that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of the 23-year-old Hammers man.
West Ham boss David Moyes will obviously be very keen to keep Dec at the London Stadium.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all want to sign the 23-year-old according to a report from The Sun.
And now it seems as though Man City have joined the race for Rice’s signature…
Manchester City in for Declan Rice
Man City have joined the race to sign the 23-year-old West Ham star, according to The Mirror (print edition December 2nd, page 56).
If I’m being completely honest, Manchester City is the only club in England that I actually wouldn’t mind Rice joining.
Described by The Mirror as ‘outstanding’, the world is the West Ham man’s oyster.
He really can achieve anything that he wants to in the game, and I for one wouldn’t blame him for leaving.
However, I do think that his comments out in Qatar this week were ill-judged at best and tremendously disrespectful at worst.
I think we have to all make peace with the fact that he will be leaving in the summer of 2023.
And let’s face it, Declan Rice joining Manchester City instead of the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool actually wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
