Hannibal has been showered in praise by Birmingham City manager, John Eustace, while on loan.

Manchester United Football Club have been playing well of late, with the Red Devils making strides under their new boss.

The gaffer has shown a willingness to give young players a chance if they’re playing well, with Alejandro Garnacho the latest to benefit from that, starting in the Europa League on Thursday.

One man who’ll be looking to follow that path next season is Hannibal.

For now, the Tunisia international is spending his time out on loan at Birmingham City. The midfielder is earning rave reviews by the Midlands club after some good performances.

Now, it’s his manager, John Eustace, further heaping the praise on the ‘phenomenal’ United loanee, who has ‘broken records’ for total distance covered over the last couple of games. Seeing the young man enjoy his football while in the Championship is great.

Check out what Eustace had to say in full here on Hannibal:

The way he has played in the last couple of games has been phenomenal. He has broken records for total distance, all that kind of stuff. It was important we also used the squad.” Eustace said, speaking to BirminghamLive.

“[Juninho] Bacuna came in today and did well and Hanni came on for that last half hour and was very good.

“I have said it is a squad game, everyone will be used, we are certainly stretched at the moment but it’s important everyone gets that opportunity to play and feel wanted.”

Hannibal is someone with bags of ability, though at times, looks a little rough around the edges. The ex-AS Monaco man needs to learn to remain a little cooler when on the pitch – though that will come with experience.

I am delighted to hear that he’s amongst the best in his team for distance covered. No doubt Ten Hag will absolutely love that!

This campaign will do the player the world of good. We’re talking about a young man who is now getting that all-important in-game experience that he needs to take his all-round end product to the next level.
