David Moyes must be absolutely licking his lips at the thought of getting some of these youngsters involved with first-team football next season.
I believe that there are four players from the starting XI tonight who are easily good enough to make an impact at senior level next season…
Four West Ham youngsters who really impressed in FA Youth Cup final
The 17-year-old is a sensational talent and has already proved his quality with the senior team, during his debut appearance against FCSB last year.
Scarles was his brilliant best once again tonight against the Gunners youngsters.
The 18-year-old was absolutely sensational tonight at the Emirates, and scored a truly stunning goal:
He already has the pace and power required to make it at senior level in my opinion.
The Northern Irish youngster only joined the club in the summer but he’s already made a huge impact at the London Stadium.
Marshall, 18, showed just how good he is tonight against Arsenal and bagged a very good goal – another exceptional young talent on our books.
Arguably the most talented of the bunch, Mubama is a special young player. Surprisingly, he didn’t score tonight, but he put in a superb all-round performance.
At just 18, Mubama has the world at his feet, and I’m expecting him to make a big impact for David Moyes’s side next term.
Regan Clayton, Patrick Kelly, George Earthy and Lewis Orford all deserve a special mention as well. Next season may well come too soon for that quartet though.
After the West Ham under-18s defeated Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup final at the Emirates tonight, the future is clearly very bright indeed for the Irons.
The Hammers fans may well be seeing a lot more of Scarles, Kadua, Marshall and Mubama next season. The key thing will for us all to be patient with these young men. They need our support every time they put the shirt on and I have no doubts that that is exactly what they’ll get.
