For the September break, Arsenal have received 12 international call-ups as follows:
Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka (England), Matt Turner (United States), William Saliba (France), Kieran Tierney (Scotland), Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan), Thomas Partey (Ghana), Granit Xhaka (Switzerland), Martin Odegaard (Norway), Nicolas Pepe (Ivory Coast), Omar Rekik (Tunisia), and Runar Alex Runarsson (Iceland).
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Mohamed Elneny, and Emile Smith Rowe all miss out through injury, and there are doubts around whether Saliba and Odegaard will be able to honour their call-ups after recent knocks of their own.
Elsewhere, Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes were all somewhat surprising omissions from their national team squads. Perhaps it’s also a little unexpected to see Nuno Tavares overlooked by Portugal after his strong start on loan with Marseille.
