Uruguay winger, Facundo Pellistri, wants a permanent exit from Man United.

Manchester United have been showing some decent form under Erik ten Hag, though there remains a few poor performances on the record. That’s to be expected given the gaffer has only been in the job for a few months.

Slowly but surely, this squad is being overhauled into one that fits Ten Hag’s style of play. It’ll take time for the manager to be fully confident in every single member of the dressing room.

One man who simply isn’t playing right now is Fecund Pellistri. The winger was involved a decent amount on pre-season tour, but then injury, coupled with the Antony signing, has the ex-Penarol man completely out of the fold.

Now, according to the latest from AS, with the transcription coming via the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old United starlet ‘will look to secure’ a permanent transfer away from the Old Trafford club in January.

Pellistri himself is against going out on loan again, having completed a season with Spanish side Alaves in the past. Instead, the winger would rather terminate his contract at Old Trafford.

With his current deal not expiring until June 2025, United have a decision to make. I genuinely cannot see the club agreeing to a termination straight away. Instead, they’ll likely look to sell Pellistri on, in order to get some sort of transfer fee back for the player.

With the World Cup on the horizon and Pellistri likely to be included in the Uruguay squad, this feels like an opportune moment to try and find a buyer for the talented winger. No doubt they’ll be interested parties out there as he is a good player.
