Everton are reportedly now in talks to sign West Ham United target Boulaye Dia in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Tutto Salernitana who claim that Everton are desperate to get a proven striker through the door before the January transfer window slams shut.

It appears as though Everton are in pole position to sign the Senegal international now though.
And with West Ham having signed Danny Ings, that’s not the worst thing in the world…
Everton in talks to sign West Ham target in January transfer window
Tutto Salernitana reckon that the Toffees are in negotiations to sign the Senegalese forward.
Salernitana have an option to sign him at the end of this season for £10.5 million, so they could exercise that option early, and then move him on to Everton for a quick profit.
It is mentioned in the report that whilst Everton want to sign him in January, they may be forced to wait until the summer before they can make that happen. And by then, it may well be too late of course.
The 19-capped Senegal striker bagged just seven goals and five assists in 35 games for the Spanish side last term though (Transfermarkt).
He left Villarreal to join Italian side Salernitana on a season-long loan in the summer, and has since racked up seven goals and three assists in 18 Serie A games (Transfermarkt).
In my opinion, he’s not anywhere near the level of player that West Ham should be looking at.
Everton are seemingly on the cusp of signing Boulaye Dia though, and in my opinion, they’re welcome to him.
