Erik ten Hag has heaped the praise on Casemiro, following his full debut vs Everton.
Manchester United Football Club returned to winning ways at Goodison Park last night, with the Red Devils more than deserving of their victory in the end.
The game itself was a tight-knit affair. That was always to be expected. It was down to United’s experienced players to get the game by the scruff of the neck and drag their side through.
On his first Premier League start, the Brazil international oozed class after making a poor mistake to start the match. He picked up an assist for Cristiano Ronaldo’s eventual winner, while bossing the midfield for the most part.
This is exactly why you sign a player like Casemiro. After the game, Ten Hag rightly heaped praise on the United star, while also claiming he’ll get ‘better and better’ with more minutes under the belt.
When asked about Casemiro’s performance, Ten Hag told the media:
“Yeah, difficult, I don’t know,” Ten Hag told the MEN. “The day he came, I repeat myself – I have told this story several times – so I don’t know if that’s necessary.
“But you see I think he settled in and you see which impact he can have and when he gets games he will be better and better.”
After a poor start in the early stages of his United career, the doubt started to creep in about Casemiro.
Well, I’m pleased to report that doubt is firmly in the rearview mirror. He oozed class yesterday. It truly was special to watch him work at such a high level. A proper Rolls Royce performer.
Like the gaffer says, when Casemiro becomes more familiar in this league and starts to learn how to play with these new teammates, you’d imagine the improvements will continue.
Hopefully, this is just the start of a long and successful Old Trafford career for Casemiro.
