Our confirmed MUFC XI vs Norwich City is now in, with the Red Devils hoping to secure victory at home here.

Manchester United have nothing but pride left to play for.

The Old Trafford club have seven games remaining. Win or lose, it’s now all about building confidence for the 2022/23 term, during which Erik ten Hag will be manager.

I actually like what Ralf Rangnick has done. He’s not been afraid to call out underperforming players who act like they haven’t got a care in the world. It’ll no doubt do us some good in the long run.

Today, though, the focus is on Norwich City. No ifs, buts or maybes, this is a game the Reds simply have to win.

Anyway, the team news has now been announced, with Rangnick springing one major surprise – Jesse Lingard starts.

Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Norwich City in full here:

David de Gea starts as the goalkeeper in this one, in a game that should hopefully be a quiet afternoon for the Spaniard.

At left-back, Alex Telles starts in place of the injured Luke Shaw, who we may not see again this season. Diogo Dalot keeps his place in the starting XI, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka having to settle for a spot amongst the substitutes. Harry Maguire starts and captains the side, with Victor Lindelof completing the back four.

There isn’t really a defensive shape about our midfield. At all. I’m going to assume that Paul Pogba will be sitting the deepest, perhaps alongside Jesse Lingard. That’ll free up Bruno Fernandes to attack in the final third.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line. to his right will be Anthony Elanga, while Jadon Sancho completes the XI.

Come on you Reds!
