Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Leeds United is now in.
Manchester United Football Club take on the old enemy, Leeds United, under the Old Trafford floodlights tonight, with the Red Devils looking to pile the pressure on Manchester City in second place with a victory.
The game itself will be tough. Leeds always play their best stuff against United. This time around they’ll have that extra motivation as they’re looking to impress the eventual new manager they’ll have.
Erik ten Hag was always going to go strong here, naming regular faces in pretty much every position. There were a few enforced switches, though, due Casemiro’s ban and Antony’s injury. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

David de Gea starts in between the sticks, with the Spaniard clearly the only viable option for United in that area of the field right now.
We haven’t seen Diogo Dalot for a little while now following injury, though the Portugal international has been thrust straight back into the XI. Interestingly, Aaron Wan-Bissaka isn’t in the squad. Over on the left-hand side of defence, Luke Shaw plays. Raphael Varane starts alongside Argentinian Lisandro Martinez.
United’s midfield looks rather different. Fred was always going to be included from the off due to his recent form, while a full debut for Marcel Sabitzer felt inevitable here. Bruno Fernandes plays in that number ten spot.
Wout Wehgorst has started every single game possible since moving to Old Trafford. That trend continues here. To his right and left respectively is Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.
