The confirmed MUFC XI for their game vs Arsenal has now been named by Ralf Rangnick.
Manchester United are at the last chance saloon when it comes to Champions League qualification for the 2021/22 season.
Ralf Rangnick has done a decent job behind the scenes at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of these players – though on-field performances have left plenty to be desired.
This game against Arsenal really is make or break. Win and our hopes of finishing in the top four are hanging on by a thread. Lose and it’s over for good.
We’ll have to be at our absolute best here, though, against an Arsenal side who have had their own inconsistencies over the course of a long season.
Anyway, the team news is now in, with the gaffer opting to drop Harry Maguire from the starting line-up, as Bruno Fernandes takes the captain’s armband in his place.

David de Gea starts in between the sticks, with the Red Devils needing a massive performance from their number one.
I think it’s fair to say Diogo Dalot didn’t put in his best performance last time out, though he’s in a more familiar right-back role this time around, which should help him. Alex Telles comes back into the side as the left-back. Raphael Varane is available following injury and he’ll partner Victor Lindelof here.
Scott McTominay is another who is fit to return from injury, in a massive boost for the Reds. Nemanja Matic also plays, with the aforementioned Fernandes completing the midfield trio. He proudly dons the armband, too.
Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line after his midweek absence. To his right, Anthony Elanga starts, while the XI is completed by Jadon Sancho.
Come on you Reds!
