The Evening Standard report that though Arsenal are prioritising a move for Declan Rice this summer, they’re also looking at alternative options currently on the market.
Among those are Chelsea targets Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion and Amadou Onana of Everton.
Caicedo was keen to move to Chelsea this month, but they were unable to agree on a deal to sign him, and the player was unwilling to force a move.
Chelsea could return for the midfielder in the summer, but it seems they may have competition from Arsenal at that stage.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Caicedo has switched agencies, linking up with Futbol Division.
Romano adds that Arsenal are one of the clubs to be well informed on the player’s situation, writing that it’s “one to watch” in the final days of the window.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in Onana, who joined Everton from Lille in the summer. The Gunners were also reportedly keeping an eye on him back then.
Sacha Tavolieri reports that Onana could even leave Everton in January, given the departure of Frank Lampard and the club’s urgent need for cash.
Nieuwsblad reporter Pieter-Jan Calcoen confirms that both Arsenal and Chelsea have Onana on their shortlist, but it remains to be seen whether Everton are willing to sell so soon after signing him.
