Aaron Cresswell has admitted that he is really excited to see Flynn Downes in action for West Ham United this season.
The Hammers signed the 23-year-old central midfielder from Swansea City last week for around £12 million (The Sun).

And it seems as though the Hammers squad as a whole are really happy to see the Brentwood-born midfielder arrive at the London Stadium this summer.
And judging by what Llewelyn had to say, we’ve got a seriously good young player on our hands…
Aaron Cresswell excited by Flynn Downes
The 32-year-old left-back is now West Ham’s longest serving current player after Mark Noble retired in the summer.
So he’s seen plenty of players come and go from both Upton Park and the London Stadium.
Hopefully Downes who is someone who will remain in East London for the rest of his career.
Cresswell spoke to WHUFC.com and opened up on how many good things he’s already heard about the 23-year-old midfielder:
“I’ve heard some good things about him and funnily enough I know his agent well as well and he said Flynn is a great kid and he works hard and he’s good on the ball and I’m excited to see him play, so he’s a great addition to the squad.”
Downes is a boyhood West Ham fan and that makes the fact that David Moyes has brought him to the London Stadium even more exciting.
The 23-year-old is very similar to Declan Rice. All that we can hope is that the two play alongside each other for many more years to come yet.
And as Aaron Cresswell said, Flynn Downes seems like a really hot prospect. Let’s hope that he lives up to his billing in a West Ham shirt.
