Spurs Transfer News: Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane set to reject Manchester United offer
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have received a major boost as Harry Kane is set to reject approaches from Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window. His future at N17 has been in uncertain waters despite his side’s improvements under Antonio Conte.
Man United have been tracking Kane for quite some time, and he could have entertained a move to Old Trafford if they signed Mauricio Pochettino. However, with Erik ten Hag now looking to be in line to take over the managerial role, the centre-forward will refute all proposals from their side.
Despite Ten Hag also showing an interest in the England skipper, he now appears to be likely to stay with Tottenham and reassess his future this summer. This update would be a great piece of news for Spurs as the striker may have been tempted to reunite with Pochettino even if the Red Devils had missed out on Champions League football.
It is good to know that the Manchester club may not be successful in their attempts despite their strong interest in the 28-year-old. Supposedly, he was their top target for the summer transfer window, but with ten Hag’s imminent appointment, it seems like a lost cause.
The Premier League ace has turned things around under Conte, and he is now back at his usual best self. With the North London side now becoming more competitive under the Italian boss, the attacker wants to stay and remain a club legend by trying to break the goalscoring record.
What’s more, with Manchester City, who tried to sign Kane last summer, now turning their attention towards Erling Haaland, the chances of the Tottenham superstar staying past this season have increased. Conte would be delighted with this information, considering how crucial the forward has been under him.
The former Inter Milan coach has come in and done a fine job indeed, which has now made his side favourites for the fourth spot in the Champions League places. As such, it would not have made sense for the Spurs talisman to move to Carrington, looking at their declined state.
Our project is well underway, and should Daniel Levy back the man in charge, we have a genuine shot at finally attaining some titles. Kane can be the one to lead us to glory, and bringing silverware after a long time to his childhood club would cement his legendary status with us.

Kane has made a reasonable decision indeed, and now it is up to the club to renew his current contract, which will expire in 2024. That would finally put an end to this uncertainty regarding the striker’s future. Whether that will happen or not will only be known in due time.
Even if he stays past this summer, it doesn’t mean the club should rest easy. It is about time we sign a quality striker that can either compete with Kane for starts, play alongside him, or become his understudy.
